Perennial Agriculture

This is where we learn to satisfy the need of our target group, while improving the local environment and profitability.

In cooperation with the agriculture classes at SJH and public presentations and workshops, we'll learn about modern grazing systems based on observation of the effect of lions on the grazing by the antelopes, and many other perennial agriculture methods based on natural observation. We'll focus on how to maximize a diverse annual output while reducing labor and input.

This final project design for the SJH will further improve the bio-diversity while also improve the flood retention potential of the landscape.

As part of this exercise we'll establish a consultancy enterprise, which offers other  agriculture land owners in the region to have their land and production surveyed, including an estimation of profit and sales potential. This service will be accounted for in the new local currency. The networking and promotion for the workshop and consultancy will be supported through the "worklife-contact" position.

Based on the knowledge gained from this element, the students will be able to calculate and optimize most agriculture ventures; the students who choose to engage in the cooperation will learn by repetition and gain valuable entrepreneurial experience as well.
