Garden Share

Want to be a gardener but don't have a garden?
Want to earn money by growing food but live in the city?
Here's how to solve it...

During this project the students will identify the potential of maintaining mismanaged fruit trees and whole gardens in the local community. learn from our initial resource survey and design a continuous symbiotic management system, whereby future HSJ students will be able to earn local currency to pay for their dormitory fees, by managing such gardens and selling the produce.

Potentially this can also spread to planting fruit and nut trees in public space, with the assurance that the HSJ student enterprise is responsible for harvest of the crop and clean up of debris and dropped fruit.

The added bonus of this project is the bridge building between the local community and HSJ; the locals now don't have to come to the school; the students come to their backyard. Furthermore it increases the food production ability of the valley, general health, reduce food mileage and the student gain experiences which can be easily implemented in their home towns.
